Regent Centre sale

Regent Centre sale

Kennedy Wilson Europe Real Estate (KWERE) has sold the Regent Centre office complex, Gosforth, in an off-market transaction to a private family owned property company represented by Omnia Offices Limited.

Seb Brown, managing director, Omnia, confirms the acquisition saying it is part of his client’s commitment to build up a portfolio of properties which offer significant asset management potential through “appropriate vision”. He says: “We were aware that the development was part of the recent Kennedy Wilson acquisition and we made an offer which they accepted. We believe there is an opportunity to build on the strengths of the location. Details of how we will achieve this will be revealed in due course.”

Omnia, which is headquartered in Sheffield, was formed in 2004 with the business aim of providing flexible commercial workspace to companies and organisations - from 1-1000 employees - choosing not to be tied down by standard leasehold agreements. Through steady, but assured, business growth over the last decade Omnia has evolved into a dynamic property management company working throughout the UK managing offices: leasehold, serviced, industrial, retail, residential and student property.

“We see our overall property skills being a very good match for the Regent Centre. We like the location and its excellent connectivity. As a location for occupiers and their employees, apart from the choice of accessibility be it walking, cycling, bus or Metro, there is immediate access to shopping and leisure facilities. This really underlines what a strong destination this is,” adds Seb Brown.

Seb Brown confirms Regent Centre management staff have joined Omnia and that letting agents Knight Frank and BNP Paribas Real Estate have been retained.
