Wonga to end sponsorship with Blackpool FC
Blackpool FC have confirmed that their five years of sponsorship from Wonga will not be renewed when the contract expires at the end of the season.
The club said that the relationship had been a productive one for the club and that Wonga had supported the community with various schemes.
A Wonga spokesperson said:
“With our existing deal coming to an end, it’s the right time to conclude our relationship. We wish Blackpool FC and its supporters the very best for the future.”
A Blackpool spokesperson said: “We would like to thank Wonga for their sponsorship since 2010.
“The relationship has been a productive one for the club, highlighted by Wonga’s support for community schemes and charity, as well as the introduction of fan initiatives and various competitions.”
