Boldon engineering company recruits TNT Business Administration Apprentice

Tyne North Training has been recruiting apprentices for engineering and manufacturing companies for many years ranging from welders to administrators from as far north as Ashington in Northumberland to Consett in County Durham.

2014 was TNT’s most successful year to date, especially for Business and Administration apprentices. Rebecca Hanson, TNT Training Officer who specialises in Business and Administration has noticed an dramatic upturn in the demand for Business and Administration apprentices within the Tyne North Training portfolio of engineering employers. Rebecca commented “TNT can now offer the full spectrum of apprenticeship management which includes recruitment and delivery of both engineering and administration based apprenticeships. 2014 has seen a huge increase in demand from our employers.”

Tyne North Training was approached by the Kvasir Group, which has a proven track record in the offshore, marine and engineering sector. Kvasir was keen on securing the services of a training provider who genuinely value the apprenticeship model.; TNT being not only one of the leading training providers in the North East, but also hold a good Ofsted grading, had the profile to ensure a first class apprenticeship programme.

Rebecca was quick to find an exceptional candidate for Kvasir. Within a matter of weeks Holly-Marie Urwin was recruited and has already started to make an impact on the business.

Holly-Marie commented “After being at Kvasir for 5 months, I have already learnt so much about what it’s like to be an office administrator. Being an apprentice allows you to not only earn money but gives you a real incite to what it’s like to be in a work environment. Not only do you get a qualification but it also opens up many doors as employers often want people who have first-hand experience.
