Worksop tax firm wins international award

John Harrison and Company, based in Worksop has won the ‘Tax Return Specialists of the Year – United Kingdom’ award category in the Acquisition International 2015 Tax Awards.

These global awards recognise the outstanding achievements of individuals and companies within the tax industry. Acquisition International’s Tax Awards identify and honour success, innovation and ethics across international communities. The awards are given solely on merit and are awarded to commend those most deserving for their ingenuity and hard work over the last twelve months, distinguishing them from their competitors and proving them worthy of recognition.

The award was awarded to John Harrison and Co based on the tax aspects of the company’s Financial Management System which was created to give owner managed businesses a ‘back office’ finance department which caters for all of the financial needs of small and medium sized businesses at an affordable price.

This award is just one of a string of recent accolades. The firm was named Runner Up in the 2020 Innovation “Most Innovative Sole Practitioner” award at the end of last year for its Financial Management System and director Susan Drury won first place globally in the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants’ taxation examinations.
