Stockport husband and wife team launch coffee startup creating 3 jobs
A Stockport husband and wife team have launched a coffee startup, Cafelito Ltd with help from Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).
Three jobs have been created to man the coffee shop seven days a week.
The refurbishment of long-term empty premises at St Petersgate has completed and Cafelito successfully opened its doors last week attracting positive attention with its modern look and feel coffee shop and mobile expresso coffee cart.
Owner of Cafelito Ltd, Paul Checkett, said: “Caroline and I are no strangers to running a business given we have many years in the service industry and currently run Magnetics Ltd – a magnetic jewellery for wellness company.
“We researched the area and worked closely with the local Stockport Council to find suitable premises.
“We are delighted to establish ourselves in a historic part of Stockport which is set to undergo a regeneration project and witness significant investment.
“RBS has been very supportive of our new venture and we are grateful for their belief in our business model and what we are looking to achieve.
“The doors are open at Cafelito and so far we are delighted at the response and see this as a real hub for the business community given we will be providing Wifi and comfortable spaces to work.”
Business Manager at RBS, Nick Berzins, said, “I am impressed with the drive and passion Paul and Caroline demonstrate and I am confident Cafelito will be a success.
“At RBS we have strong appetite to support new start-ups and Cafelito is a great example of this.
“I wish them all the best as they become a credible coffee contender in Stockport.”
