Liverpool FC extends online presence with SportsYapper partnership

Liverpool FC has today extended its online presence by launching an official account on the United Kingdom’s fastest-growing social media application for sports fans, SportsYapper.

SportsYapper is a free, purpose-built mobile application for iPhone, iPad, Android and desktop, giving supporters a place to experience the thrill of the game with others before, during and after the action.

Fans can now download the app and follow @LFC on SportsYapper to interact and share thoughts and opinions about the club with fellow Reds from every corner of the globe, in a social environment exclusive to sport.

Liverpool will be kicking off activity on their official SportsYapper account ahead of the Barclays Premier League clash with Merseyside rivals Everton.

Chief media officer at Liverpool, Matthew Baxter, said: “SportsYapper is one of the fastest-growing sports social networks and it’s an exciting platform for LFC fans to engage with other passionate supporters in a setting exclusive to sport.

“Liverpool Football Club’s SportsYapper account grows the number of global LFC official social media accounts as we continue to further engage with our global fanbase, no matter how far away from Anfield they live. Our SportsYapper account is another step forward in this strategy.”
