South Yorkshire Partnership focuses on customer service levels

Local elearning marketplace Training Post and Business Consultant Andy Hanselman are aiming to help local businesses deliver higher standards of customer service through their new partnership and the release of a new training resource.

Yorkshire is already gaining a reputation for offering some of the best customer service in the country. Research by the Institute of Customer Services recently named Yorkshire Water as the utility company offering the best customer care, and Leeds-based First Direct regularly top customer service polls and reports. Most recently, First Direct came in joint-second place with Amazon in a nationwide customer service survey.

Andy Hanselman, customer service specialist and owner of Andy Hanselman Consulting, said: “Customer service is crucial to the success of any business. Many Yorkshire businesses are already offering high standards of customer service, but poor customer service still costs UK businesses £15.3 billion every year.

“We wanted to be sure that, if there’s revenue being lost due to customer dissatisfaction, it’s not happening in this region.”

To help more local businesses offer outstanding customer service, Training Post have partnered with Andy Hanselman to create a new elearning course on customer care.

Training Post have already formed partnerships with a variety of local experts to create a full programme of training resources. Users can access the new ‘Creating Delighted and Devoted Customers’ course in their web browser, with no additional downloads or specialist software required.

Paul Hilton, Managing Director of Training Post, said: “Its great working with Andy. With so much of what he says, you find yourself thinking ‘of course we should do that.’

“This is only the second course we have made in this way, so we’re a running a bit of a promotion to help raise awareness. The course is free during its first week of release”.

‘Creating Delighted and Devoted Customers,’ will be available free of charge for one week only (2nd February – 8th February). From 9th February, the course will be available to enrol upon for £45. The course can be accessed at: https://trainingpost.com/course/creating-delighted-devoted-customers
