Print Company achieves Top Accreditation for Data Security

Platinum Print, the Harrogate-based print and direct mail house, have achieved one of the toughest industry accreditations in the protection of corporate information and data. With information and data now the lifeblood of so many businesses, the ISO27001 recognises the highest standard of measures put in place to protect customer information from threats, theft and breaches of security. Such measures are regarded as essential for ensuring the longevity and reputation of businesses.

The ISO27001 is a certification by the management system business, QMS which has over 20 years’ experience working in this sector. The certification by QMS of Platinum Print’s systems demonstrates to their customers that effective controls are in place and that these have been independently assessed and verified. Platinum Print’s systems are protected against both external hackers and viruses. The Government see data protection as a priority and using a supplier with 27001 helps customers maintain and protect themselves, ensuring best practice is employed. ISO 27001 is now accepted as a worldwide base level standard for security outside of government.

Financial director, Marina Wyvill, received the certification from Peter Worrall of QMS. Marina says: ’This is undoubtedly the most complex accreditation to acquire but we are confident we can offer the highest level of data security to our customers.“

Platinum Print celebrated its 25th year in business last year and its client list includes Engage Mutual, the iconic Betty’s/Taylors confectionary and tea shop chain, multi-dealership vehicle company JCT600, Leeds Rhinos Rugby League Club and Yorkshire Wildlife. Last year Platinum’s investment in technology for the business topped £1,000,000.
