Superhero spreading the love for one Doncaster couple

A Doncaster based ICT company superhero has backed a local couples campaign to win the wedding of their dreams.

Techno and ACS on Wheatley Hall Road has donated £300 towards the fundraising campaign of Charlotte Lister (27) and James McEwen (30) as part of the Cash For Kids - Win a Wedding competition.

The couple who live in Bentley have made it through to the last six in the competition run by the radio station and now have just two weeks to make as much money for the charity as possible.

The couple who makes the most money between Saturday 7th February and midday on Sunday 22nd February will win the wedding of their dreams which includes a hen and stag party, wedding venue and dress to a photography package, cake and a dream honeymoon.

James said: “I just want to thank everyone at ACS for their support and for the fantastic donation. They have given us a massive push towards our fundraising target.”

The couple that have been together for eight years and a little girl called Evie (4) have supported each other through thick and thin.

Charlotte explains: “I have suffered pretty badly with depression and tension headaches for the past couple of years, James has been my rock, extremely supportive and if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be the person I am today.

“For anyone that is suffering or has suffered with depression you’ll know that you can feel like you are completely alone and just want to curl up in a ball in a dark place. Even at my worst, I always knew James was there for me which gave me the strength to fight back.”

The couple is wanting the whole of Doncaster to back them in their bid to get married on Sunday 29th March at The Crown Hotel and help them raise as much money for the worthy cause that supports individual children, groups and children’s charities for those young people that are sick, deprived or in need of a little extra support in their daily lives.

Beth Oldfield ACS office manager said: “We were delighted to be able to help James and Charlotte with their fundraising drive. We wish them the best of luck with the competition and eagerly await the results in a couple of weeks time.”

Charlotte and James will be out and about across South Yorkshire with Cash for Kids buckets, taking part in charity bag packs and schools across the region are backing the duo with dress down days too!
