Playtech hosts star-studded party

Wednesday, 4th February 2015, London: Playtech, the world’s leading multi-channel gaming software and services supplier brought a touch of A-list glamour to London’s trendy Camden Town tonight, as it hosted a star-studded party to mark the technology giant’s participation at ICE Totally Gaming 2015 – a unique exhibition taking place at the ExCel Centre in London aimed at the world’s online gaming industry.

The glamourous party was held at the exclusive Pan-Asian restaurant and club Gilgamesh Bar & Lounge in The Stables Market in Camden. Proceedings began with a red carpet parade featuring a who’s who of the celebrity world. Star names including Mandela actor and musician Idris Elba, DJ Pixie Geldof, model and ex-girlfriend of footballer Cristiano Ronaldo Irina Shayk illusionist Dynamo, chart-topping band Clean Bandit, Lydia Bright (The Only Way is Essex) and TV personality Zoe Hardman were among some of the high-profile attendees who sashayed down the carpet in their finest haute couture outfits.

The showbiz extravaganza began with a drinks reception featuring a range of bespoke, tantalising cocktails and canapés from Gilgamesh’s award-winning menu. Guests were then treated to an eclectic mix of sumptuous entertainment, featuring beautiful burlesque dancers in Martini glasses, mesmerising aerial dancers, a live music set by Clean Bandit, and, to conclude proceedings a DJ set from Pixie Geldof and Idris Elba, which brought guests to their feet on the dance floor. A further highlight of the evening was a performance by master illusionist Dynamo, who thrilled guests with an array of illusions that had everyone spellbound.

Founded in 1999, Playtech is listed on the London Stock Exchange and has more than 3,900 employees located in 14 countries. Its leading gaming applications include casino, bingo, poker, sports betting, live, mobile and social gaming, casual and fixed odds games. New licensees include existing online operators upgrading or diversifying their offerings, land-based casino groups, government-owned entities, and new entrants, in regulating and newly-regulated markets.

Future plans for Playtech include a significant roll-out of and investment in multi-channel, personalised software and services, and the expansion of retail, sportsbook and other products into new and existing regulated markets.

Just this week, Playtech announced a partnership with Finland’s national gaming operator, RAY (Raha-Automaattiyhdistys – Finland’s Slot Machine Association) with RAY signing a 20-year online contract extension, the longest deal in both companies’ histories. This follows four highly successful years with Playtech, generating year-on-year double digit growth and approximately €60 million in gross gaming revenue in 2014.
