New Leeds craft ale bar to open as joint venture with BrewDog

A new Leeds city centre craft ale bar is set to open after Leeds property company Rushbond Plc has agreed a deal with global bar operator BrewDog.

Crispin Lofts in which the bar will be is Leeds’ only residential ‘build to rent’ scheme and consists of 84 popular apartments in the grade II listed landmark building on the corner of North Street and New York Road in the City’s Northern Quarter.

The new bar offers 4,060 square feet, arranged over two floors, with its prominent curved glass front that spans its entire corner position. BrewDog has signed a 25-year lease on the unit.

The Aberdeen based company is Scotland’s largest independent brewery, with a turnover expected to hit £32 million this year operating 25 bars.

The worldwide spread of bars now extends to São Paulo, Tokyo, Bologna, Gothenburg and Florence, as well as sites throughout the UK.

BrewDog already operates a highly successful bar in Leeds at White Cloth Hall near the Corn Exchange, which serves a vast range of BrewDog’s own products as well as beers from across the globe.
