The Bright Ideas in Health Awards are delivered by NHS Innovations North on behalf of the Academic Health Science Network. The Awards, now in their twelfth year, celebrate the achievements throughout the healthcare sector in the North East and North Cumbria of those who have risen to the challenge of telling us how, and where, they believe that improvements to the service provided to patients can be improved, either through a technical innovation or through better service delivery. The aim of the competition is to identify new products, technologies and services that generate real benefits for the NHS by improving the patient experience or outcomes, increasing efficiency or reducing costs whilst recognising skills and motivating staff.
