Totaljobs Group signs up to Carlyle’s Piccadilly Place
The Carlyle Group has secured another high-profile letting leaving just 37,000 sq ft remaining at its Piccadilly Place scheme.
Totaljobs Group, the UK’s largest and fastest growing online recruitment advertising company, has agreed terms on 5,147 sq ft at Four Piccadilly Place. The firm comprising six job boards, which between them carry over 160,000 jobs, attract seven million jobseekers every month, generating four million applications.
The city centre scheme is home to an impressive line-up of existing tenants including, Weightmans, Barclays, NHS, EC Harris, Arup, Orega and Egencia.
Commenting on the deal, Ben Du Boulay, Director, the Carlyle Group said: “This announcement follows a successful 2014 at Piccadilly Place with over 100,000 sq ft being transacted. In a marketplace where occupiers are demanding more from their landlords, the accessibility, specification and efficiency of the floorplates available are unparalleled. The scheme is now 82% let and with a great deal of interest in the remaining space we anticipate to be making announcements regarding further lettings in the coming months.”
Paul Brannan, Totaljobs Group Finance Director added “We are very happy to move our highly successful Manchester team into a new city centre office that will support their continuing growth”.
Chris Cheap, Director at GVA, joint agents for the scheme with Savills, concluded:
“We are delighted that Totaljobs Group have committed to Four Piccadilly Place. They identified at an early stage that the scheme offered them the profile, specification and accessibility they were looking for. They join a long list of businesses who have found the working environment at Piccadilly Place to be second to none.’
“The remaining availability within Piccadilly Place affords occupiers one of the few built and available large floorplates with a ‘Grade A’ specification in the central Manchester market.”
David Porter, Knight Frank acted for Totaljobs Group.
