A dream come true for young family

A young couple have cause to really celebrate after securing their first family home in just 10 days thanks to Persimmon Homes West Scotland.

After scrimping and scraping for over 4 years it seemed that buying their own homes was distant dream for Melissa Cathcart and Kevin Lynchmoore, both aged 22. The situation became all the more urgent when they were given notice to leave the council flat they called home that belonged to Kevin’s Uncle.

With just 28 days to find a home for themselves and Melissa’s 7-year old son William, they explored every avenue open to them. “We moved in on 19th December, just 10 days after our first viewing, in time for William to enjoy a real family Christmas and open his presents in our own home. It was like winning the lottery!”
