Creative youngster wins dream home drawing competition
One lucky youngster has been named as the winner of a regional housebuilder’s drawing competition after designing their dream home for Christmas. Charles Church East Midlands presented Kian Harvie, aged 7, from Oakham, with a LEGO Creator Family Home set after being impressed by his colourful gingerbread house design. The contest was launched as part of the builder’s countdown to Christmas and the sales team were delighted with how many youngsters from Catmose Primary School took part. Cheryl Bissett, sales and marketing director for Charles Church East Midlands, said: “We are pleased this competition really sparked the imagination of pupils attending the school and thoroughly enjoyed seeing their entries. “We are so pleased with the amount of children that took part in the competition. It was a hard choice to pick one overall winner as all the designs were of a very high standard.” Kian, said: “I can’t believe I’ve won and I’m looking forward to developing my own construction skills with this new LEGO set.” Charles Church East Midlands is currently building three, four and five-bedroom homes in Oakham at its Thorpe Manor development in the sought after village of Barleythorpe.
