Sunderland estate agents expand operational premises with NatWest funding
Paul Airey Estate Agents has moved its operational premises into an historic building in Sunderland with funding support from NatWest.
The company is a multi-disciplined practice made up of chartered surveyors, estate agents and property managers which offers a range of professional services including specialist skills in commercial valuations for licensed, leisure and health care markets together with an in-depth knowledge of rent reviews, lease renewals and property development appraisal.
The firm recently purchased and refurbished a grade-II listed Georgian building located in the city’s Sunniside Regeneration Area as part of its continued business development. Six new apartments have also been built at the rear of the premises as part of the project.
Managing director Paul Airey has been working in the property sector for more than 30 years.
He said: “The new location is right in the heart of the city’s financial district and offers customers close links with the business community. It also provides us with the space we need to grow the business and continue serving customers in the best possible way while also allowing for us to build on our relationships in the local community.”
When the time came to acquire funding for the purchase of the building, Paul turned to NatWest relationship manager Dominic Duke who obtained a six-figure loan to support the project as part of the Government backed Funding For Lending programme.
Paul said: “Dominic was very good to work with. He was prompt with answers when we had queries and understands the needs of our business.”
Dominic said: “I was delighted to support Paul Airey Estates Agents on its purchase and refurbishment of premises. The business has been playing an important role in the property sector for several decades and shown its commitment to the local area by investing in the building. I wish the business every success for the future.”
