Go smarter with Manor Walks
Northumberland’s largest shopping destination is encouraging residents to keep moving this half-term after teaming up with Go Smarter and Living Streets to host a series of active events.
Visitors to Manor Walks Shopping and Leisure in Cramlington will be able to benefit from free bike services, winter cycling advice and Winterise your Bike goody bags on Monday (16 February 2015) between 10am and 4pm, while on Tuesday (17 February 2015) Walk Dr will be at the centre from 11am to 2.30pm advising people on how to fit walking into their everyday lives.
For those interested in getting out on their bikes more often, free weekly adult guided rides from Cycle Experience now start from the centre at 5.15pm until 7.15pm every Tuesday evening.
Bruno Coppola, general manager at Manor Walks Shopping and Leisure, said: “This half-term is the perfect time for people to get and about and we’re proud to be partnering with Go Smarter, Cycle Experience and Living Streets to encourage our local communities to become more active.
“There will be lots of free advice on offer as well as free bike services and goody bags up for grabs so I’d urge people to come along and find out more about sustainable ways to travel, that are greener, cheaper and healthier.”
With over 100 retailers including Northumberland’s only multiplex cinema, a range of family restaurants as well as high street favourites and independent stores, Manor Walks Shopping and Leisure in Cramlington offers a huge amount of choice to suit a range of tastes.
