Blow the Trumpet for Finance and Accountancy in the North East

Organisers of the North East Accountancy Awards are calling upon the Finance and Accountancy community across the region to ‘blow their own trumpet’ and celebrate its successes over the last year at the North East’s largest event for the industry.

Now in their 9th year, the Awards are set to be bigger than before and both businesses and individuals are being encouraged to nominate their colleagues, managers, teams, suppliers and themselves for the great work they have done over the last year.

Project Manager Sonia Hernandez explains “The North East Accountancy Awards is a chance for all finance companies and individuals to be recognised for what they do, no matter what industry they work in or the level of experience they have. Our categories range from entry level trainees to executive directors and for firms both large and small so everyone has an award they can be nominated for. It is a fact that people like to be recognised for their efforts and once noticed, they will want to stand out again and again, which will lead to a more productive and engaged workforce. There is sometimes a stigma with professional awards that people ‘don’t stand a chance’ and therefore don’t nominate, but we want to stress that these awards recognise excellence within the role you do and our structured nomination forms provide a level playing field and gives everyone a chance to win.”

To encourage people to nominate, organisers have added an incentive for those willing to take the time to recognise excellence within the industry and everyone who submits a nomination will be entered into a prize draw to win a ticket to this year’s Awards Dinner and one night’s bed and breakfast at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead after the Awards.

With the nomination deadline fast approaching businesses and individuals are being urged not to miss out on the opportunity to submit a nomination. Winners will be announced on Thursday 25th June at the North East Accountancy Awards Ceremony, sponsored by Nigel Wright Recruitment and held at the prestigious Hilton Newcastle Gateshead.
