Entrepreneur behind North Wales thrill attractions to speak at IoD event
The North Wales entrepreneur behind two of the region’s most extreme attractions will discuss his plans to introduce a third activity for thrill seekers at a forthcoming Institute of Directors (IoD) North Wales event in Flintshire.
Sean Taylor, a former Royal Marine skydiver and jungle warfare instructor, is the brain behind Zip World and Bounce Below and is planning to combine the two with the opening of Zip Below this summer.
It will offer adrenaline junkies the opportunity to zip wire through underground caverns at Blaenau Ffestiniog, as well as take part in adventure rope courses interspersed throughout.
Conwy Valley-born Mr Taylor, who also owns Tree Top Adventure Snowdonia, will address businesses at the IoD’s St David’s Day breakfast event on 27 February at Soughton Hall, Northop. It runs from 8am to 10am.
IoD North Wales chair Helen Watson said: “Mr Taylor and his adrenaline-filled tourist attractions have been a phenomenal success.
“It is fantastic to have this opportunity to hear about his latest idea and how the plans are progressing for Zip Below.
“His entrepreneurial spirit and story is a true inspiration and I am sure he will provide great value to all that attend our St David’s Day breakfast event.”
The IoD is the longest-standing organisation to serve and support business leaders, with more than 100 years of service in raising professional standards. You don’t need to be a company director to join the IoD. Senior managers are welcome from large public organisations to small family firms.
Members benefit from services including free business advice, a full training programme, research facilities and networking events.
Places are limited and guests are asked to book tickets, priced at £15 plus VAT per person, by Monday 23 February. It is open to members and non-members.
