cottages4you celebrates busiest winter on record

cottages4you is celebrating its busiest ever winter period, with over 170,000 holidays booked through the self-catering specialist, representing a 24% year-on-year uplift*. The record booking figures add to a successful year for cottages4you, which has proved its credentials in helping owners to sell their off-peak weeks which usually suffer from lower booking numbers.

The mild winter, keen pricing and strong promotional activity are thought to have contributed to the uplift in bookings in places such as Windermere, Whitby and York, which took the top three spots in cottages4you’s list of most popular destinations for the final quarter of 2014.

After topping the list for winter bookings, Whitby and Windermere also come in at number one and two of cottages4you’s top 10 list for bookings during January this year**.

Nick Rudge, managing director for cottages4you, said: “We’re delighted to be helping so many holidaymakers enjoy what the UK has to offer. It’s also fantastic for us to be supporting owners in selling winter weeks so well – November and December are traditionally quieter weeks in the industry but our offering, which caters to all kinds of holiday-makers, is proving popular throughout the year. The very fact that we’re able to sell off-peak weeks so well shows why we’re the leading provider of self-catering holidays, and why many of our owners achieve over 35 weeks’ worth of booking per year.”
