Luxury hotel set to open in Newcastle creating 60 new jobs
A new 160 room hotel in the centre of Newcastle is set to open in March 2015, leading to the creation of 60 jobs.
Work on the Hampton by Hilton Newcastle, situated opposite Central Station, is nearing completion. An artist’s impression shows what the new hotel will look like when it’s completed.
Paolo Franchi, General Manager, said: “We’re just weeks away from the opening of this landmark hotel, located on Neville Street in Newcastle.
“The team has led a multi-million pound makeover of the former Baron House building and we are proud to be a part of the revitalisation of Newcastle’s Central Station area, which welcomes thousands of people into the city every day.”
The hotel is part of Hilton Worldwide’s UK portfolio and is managed by Interstate Hotels & Resorts on behalf of Baron House Hotel Limited. When complete, the eight storey building will boast impressive views over the city from its 160 guest bedrooms.
Facilities at the new hotel will include a bar and lounge, a gym and a work area for business travellers, all open 24 hours a day.
Paolo Franchi added: “We are looking forward to welcoming the first hotel guests in April and reservations are already being taken from both business and leisure travellers.”
The final stages of building work on the hotel site will be completed in the next few weeks and the Hampton by Hilton Newcastle will open its doors to guests, including a number of competition winners who have won the chance to be amongst the first to stay there, from Friday 3 April 2015.
The Hampton by Hilton Newcastle is the first Hampton property in Newcastle and the 14th in the United Kingdom.
