Website works wonders with a refresh and recycle

Rotherham firm provides the power to always be on the eve of destruction with a secure online portal

S2S Group, the Rotherham based data destruction and Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) recycling solutions company has announced the launch of its brand new website. The new website went live during January 2015 and thanks to a secure online portal, brings clients who need quick data erasure closer than ever to the eve of destruction. The all new customer portal allows clients to log in and do everything from booking collections and requesting quotes, to downloading documentation and certificates of destruction.

“The reasons behind developing this new website are far more than merely cosmetic,” said S2S business development director Chris Hare. “Customer feedback made it clear that fast, secure access to our services online would be a popular feature so while delivering this, it made sense to refresh the whole website. The expansion of the S2S group meant we had outgrown the old site and while it had served us well a complete rebuild was in order and we are very pleased with the results.”

With so much business now transacted online, bosses at S2S recognised the need for a new sophisticated web portal that could better adapt to and meet the changing needs of clients both old and new for instant service and results. The new site has been expressly designed to do just that, while being easier to navigate and use. Other new features include a tailor made news area outlining group activities together with inclusion of all the S2S divisions in one easy to access solution.

“The underlying aim has been to make it easier for people to find S2S online, while logos make each group division easy to identify and access,” added Hare. “The website is a shop window for S2S services so it had to be right. Clients who need information about our range of solutions now have to tool to deliver it.” The result is a user friendly, highly functional website that effectively promotes the S2S brand, messages and services, while at the same time streamlining all services in one place.

The secure customer portal is unique as a tailor made online tool giving S2S the power to deliver clients a truly bespoke service and supply documents and services on demand, improving functionality and user experience; while a considerable improvement in SEO was the final piece of the puzzle.

The new website comes in the wake of the company successfully achieving the highly acclaimed PAS 141 accreditation, a process management specification for the re-use of used and waste electrical and electronic equipment (UEEE and WEEE), making S2S one of only two companies in the UK to have achieved the accreditation.
