O’Connor’s Bar & Grill turns Scouse this Saturday

To celebrate Global Scouse Day this Saturday (February 28), Irish themed O’Connor’s Bar & Grill located within Sefton Park Hotel will be transformed into an ‘authentic Liverpool gaff’.

Chief executive Conor O’Donovan and his team are set to go all out in delivering a unique Liverpool inspired dining experience to mark the ever so popular foodie occasion.

From 12pm guests will enjoy an appropriately devised set menu, which consists of two Scouse variations served with Crusty Bread, as well as a choice of desserts including Red and White Deep Fried ‘Jam Butty’ with Milk Ice Cream and Blue and White Trifle.

Conor said: “Global Scouse Day is the perfect excuse for Liverpudlians to celebrate their heritage and of course tuck into a plate (or bowl for traditionalists) of Scouse. Therefore, it felt only right to swap our classic Irish stew for the signature Liverpool dish for one day only.

“To really get into the spirit of things, the team and I will also sport either LFC, EFC or Beatles t-shirts – customers may also see the possible hair-roller or two!“

To accompany their Scouse feast, guests will be treated to a selection of exclusive cocktails that pay homage to the city’s famous attributes. Drinks include A River Mersey Breeze; Sefton Park Sparkle; Spice Scouse Bellini; Everton Blue Lagoon and Liverpool Woo Woo.

In addition to Beatles music being played in the venue throughout the day, a range of live entertainment will also be provided. From 8pm the local music talent, Box Of, will perform a unique set that will really get the parted started ahead of the ‘How Scouse are You?’ quiz that will take place at 9pm.

Conor added: “As Global Scouse Day is loved by everyone of all ages and not just Liverpool locals for that matter – we want to make a big deal out of the fun foodie calendar event to make sure that everyone has a ’boss’ day!“

The Global Scouse Day celebrations will take place at O’Connor’s Bar & Grill on Saturday, February 28 from 12pm. Scouse mains are priced at £6.95 each, desserts £3.95 each and cocktails start from £6.95.
