Uniting Ambition announces 2015 charity partnership
Uniting Ambition is delighted to announce its 2015 charity partner of choice: Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. The fast-growing recruitment consultancy is planning an array of activities across the year to help the charity raise the necessary £6.5 million to keep its three air ambulances operational.
Faye Summers, HR Business Partner at Uniting Ambition, comments: “Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is a fantastic organisation and one which averages 2,000 life-saving missions each year. Despite serving the largest air ambulance region in the UK, the charity relies entirely on donations from the public and local businesses.
“Having been touched personally by Midlands Air Ambulance’s endeavours amongst our own workforce, we’re proud to partner with such a worthy charity. We have been inspired by the efforts of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity and are committed to supporting its efforts to save lives.”
In an initial fundraising launch event on Friday, Uniting Ambition successfully raised its first £300 for the charity through a raffle alone. With exciting events such as company sky dives and fire walking already on the agenda, this sum is set to accelerate.
“Our business enthusiasm goes far beyond providing the best possible recruitment service to clients and candidates,” Faye continues. “We are keen to demonstrate a wider sense of social responsibility by raising thousands of pounds for this essential charity.”
Sofia Voutianitis, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, adds: “Without the support of businesses like Uniting Ambition, we would be unable to save lives across the communities of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands. We fly seven days a week, 365 days a year, and each mission costs in the region of £2,500. Charitable efforts from fundraisers keep our helicopters in the air and we are delighted to add Uniting Ambition to our list of leading business benefactors.”
