East Yorkshire Auction Delivers Top Results for Sellers

The East Yorkshire Property Auction had one of its most successful auctions to date, with all but one property selling on Wednesday 18th February; 18 out of 19 properties sold (95%). The highest record to date was October last year, where the auction saw 96% of its properties sell at the live event.

Working in partnership with estate agents across East Yorkshire, iam-sold supplied a variety of properties from motivated sellers who were looking to sell their properties quickly, securely and for fair market value; iam-sold delivered just that, with several properties achieving 30% more than their starting prices.

An alternative route to selling

The East Yorkshire Property Auction made a seller incredibly happy with a very successful sale; 2 bedroom, terraced house on Poplar Avenue was entered into the February auction, with the hope to sell with as little stress and as smoothly as possible. The seller of the property was advised by the dedicated staff from iam-sold’s Auction Department what would be the best route for their property; they recommended the ‘Modern Method of Auction’. The property was an ideal candidate for this method as the seller wanted to achieve a quick sale, fair market value and fixed timescales to exchange and complete their sale. As the property was in need of some modernisation, the seller was flexible on their starting price, which attracted interest from investors. This method, as well as intelligent marketing techniques, gave the property the exposure it needed to generate huge levels of interest and 34 viewings in total. This interest became apparent at the live auction event, when the property sold for 47% over the seller’s starting price.

Another property that did particularly well at the live event was a property in Bridlington. The cottage style residence which was previously used as 2 flats, offered a development opportunity for any buyer; whether that would be improved, renovated flats or a conversion back to its original cottage format. The property sold for £65,000, 30% over the starting price.

After a very successful auction with over 200 attendees and 95% sold, the East Yorkshire Property Auction is now looking for further properties for the next auction on the 15th April.
