hlw Keeble Hawson supports major Coalfields Regeneration acquisitions in Yorkshire

Coalfields Regeneration Trust, which supports coalfields communities in the UK, has made five commercial property acquisitions with the help of hlw Keeble Hawson’s.

The firm’s property team has represented the Coalfields Regeneration Trust in the transactions which comprise acquisitions in Sheffield, Doncaster, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Tyne and Wear.

The properties are let to a variety of tenants ranging from kitchen giant Magnet to FTSE 100 company Bunzl plc with income generated from the rentals allowing the Coalfields Regeneration Trust to meet with the governments challenge to become self-funding by 2016.

Richard Smith, partner at hlw Keeble Hawson, one of Yorkshire’s largest law firms, said: “The raft of deals reinforces the real sense of buoyancy in the commercial market, providing further evidence of its continued recovery.

“The acquisitions are also playing a vital role to address the need for continued support in coalfield communities.”

Shaun O’Brien, property investment and development director at the Coalfields Regeneration Trust, commented: “hlw Keeble Hawson has a strong reputation in commercial property deals.

“Having worked with Richard Smith and his team in the past, I have seen and experienced first-hand how they simplify an often complex process and are extremely effective in seeking out the best outcomes for all involved.”
