Quantum Pharmaceutical Raises £400 For North East Charity

A North East charity which supports people with Down’s Syndrome has been given a boost by Quantum Pharmaceutical, helping it continue its vital work in the area.

Quantum Pharmaceutical has presented Down’s Syndrome North East with a cheque for £400, following its fundraising efforts on the charity’s behalf, which took place at Quantum’s annual Family Fun Day at Newcastle Falcons Rugby Club.

Over £1,200 was raised at the Fun Day and the amount was then split between three North East charities; Down’s Syndrome North East, the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, and St. Oswalds Hospice.

“We feel so passionately supporting local charities, and we’re delighted to have helped Down’s Syndrome North East this year. We’re proud of the staff and families from our Burnopfield headquarters who always show immense commitment to our good causes,” says Alison Doering, Head of Group Marketing and Communications at Quantum Pharmaceutical.

Down’s Syndrome North East is the leading organisation for the help and support of all people with Down’s Syndrome and their families and friends. Run entirely by volunteers, they provide support services, workshops and leisure activities across Northumberland, Tyneside, Wearside, Durham and Teesside.

Visit the Down’s Syndrome North East website for further information.
