Frank’s the Flooring Store to open new Northumberland outlet
Frank’s the Flooring Store will open its second new Northumberland store in less than 18 months after a lease was agreed on a site in Cramlington.
Work to fit-out the new premises, located in the Manors Walk Shopping and Leisure Complex, is almost complete, with the store set to open for Saturday, March 7th.
The lease signing on the 7,500 sq ft single level store unit comes after Frank’s opened its most recent new store in Blyth in 2013.
Moreover, the move is also helping to create opportunities for young people. With existing staff from Frank’s Tyneside stores set to work in the Cramlington branch, apprenticeships are being created in warehousing and business administration in the Newcastle and Blyth shops.
Frank’s is working with the North East Chamber of Commerce to deliver the apprenticeships.
Mick Copeland, Business Development Manager at Frank’s the Flooring Store, said: “This is a very exciting move for Frank’s to bring its value and service to Cramlington, following from the opening of our store in Blyth in 2013, and building our position in Northumberland, as well as across the North East as a whole.
“This is part of a move to open larger stores which allow us to showcase the full range of great carpets that Frank’s customers expect, alongside remnant carpets, laminate and vinyl flooring, and rugs.”
