AMsource Technology are doing it for the kids

AMsource Technology are a specialist I.T recruitment consultancy based in Leeds city centre.

Since September 2014, AMsource Technology have been fundrasing for local children’s Cancer charity the ‘Candlelighters Trust’ .

Each year in the UK, 1500 children and teenagers are diagnosed with Cancer. Candlelighters was founded by and is still run by the families of children who have been affected by children’s cancer. Candlelighters do fantastic work in raising funds to support families affected by childhood cancer in many different ways which include providing family support and counselling to help families come to terms with a diagnosis and supporting them through treatment. Also providing much-needed distraction from the stress of treatment in the form of toys, creating a home-from home environment and paying for families to have days out and holidays. Additionally, they provide funding for extra medical staff and equipment to treat patients. Importantly, some of the money raised is used to fund imperative medical research surrounding childhood cancers to help improve survival rates.

Recently four members of the AMsource Technology team took part in a 15,000ft sky dive for the Candlelighter’s Trust (Read more on our previous Bdaily article here: https://bdaily.co.uk/creative/24-02-2015/amsource-technology-jump-15000-ft-for-candlelighters-trust/ to date this has raised a massive £3,085.00 for the charity- thats over £1000 more than AMsource had previously targeted! Not bad for an office of only 6 people.

Having been in constant communication with Stephanie from Candlelighters since the beginning of their fundraising. AMsource took Stephanie up on her offer to show them, first hand, the amazing work donations and funding allows Candlelighters to do- by visiting them at their office at Leeds General Infirmary. The visit really inspired AMsource Technology to continue their fundraising and take part in more fundraising initiatives.
