Leeds 'best property investment' outside London as Dubai backers move in

YPP, an investment company that manages funds from the Middle East, has claimed that Leeds is amongst the strongest cities for property investment outside London.

This comes as two new residential developments are set for the city.

The new developments will offer high-end apartments for young professionals and students. They will come with a concierge and a range of services for tenants.

The Q one Residence development will see 84 apartments built on Wade Lane and Q two Residence will have 71 apartments on Queen Street. Both sites have a mix of studios, one and two bedroom apartments.

They will be available for rental from September 2015 and a showhome for each development will be open in March.

Kathryn Finn, lettings manager at YPP said: “We are developing high quality living in the heart of the city, we believe Leeds has a vibrant lettings market, where professionals are prepared to pay a premium for a better product.”

YPP launched in 2010 and offers investment opportunities to high net worth individuals and corporate. It also runs a successful property lettings and management business.

The developments were advised by accountants Hentons.

Nadeem Ahmed, managing partner of Hentons said: “YPP is making some very intelligent investments in the city and I’m sure we will see wider benefits from the work they are doing to raise the profile of Leeds with Middle Eastern investors.”
