Hendy Power opens new marine facilities

One of the country’s leading power and marine companies is on the expansion trail with the official opening of its new waterfront facilities in Hampshire.

Hendy Power, the award-winning industrial and marine engine division of the Hendy Group, has launched Hendy Marine from brand new premises at Swanwick Marina.

The opening is part of an expansion plan for the group’s marine business which was set up in 1968.

Hendy Group managing director Paul Hendy said the power division has enjoyed exceptional growth and this investment in new facilities will allow Hendy Power to continue its planned expansion in the future.

In addition to the new facilities in Swanwick, Hendy Power has relocated its repairs and service side of the operation to larger premises in Leigh Road, Eastleigh.

A range of engines, inflatables and ribs are now on display at the new showroom at Premier Marinas’ new boatyard development together with Jobe watersport accessories.

And successful sales in the first few weeks has already prompted the team to look at additional products and suppliers to meet demand in the region.

The Swanwick facility of 2,880 sq ft also offers offers workshops, storage and boat lifting. “This is an excellent location for our marine business to grow and we are delighted to be open for business and being part of a £5.8 million investment project by Premier Marinas,” said Hendy Power director Graham Kirk.
