EventCity celebrates number one ranking in the NW

As EventCity enters its third trading year, the exhibition centre has been voted number one in Manchester and number four in the UK in the EN Elite List, in addition EventCity has been shortlisted for the Best Venue over 10,000 sq. ft. in the EN awards.

Following on from a successful year in 2013, EventCity continued to grow in to 2014, hosting some of the UK’s biggest consumer and trade exhibitions, attracting visitor numbers that exceeded all expectations.

EventCity has experienced a 60% increase in bookings compared to the same time in 2013, which proves that the venue has earned its place among the top exhibition venues.

The venue is now recognised as one of the major players in the event venue industry and was recently named fourth best exhibition venue in the UK in the EN Elite List. Andy Orr, Managing Director at EventCity commented on the announcement “We are thrilled to be shortlisted for best venue over 10,000 sq. ft. The team has been working tirelessly to build the venue up to what it has become in such a short space of time. Home to some of the UK’s biggest consumer and trade shows, we are set for even more success this year, something that the team here is more than ready to embrace”.

The signing of the Ideal Home Show and Ideal Home Show Christmas at EventCity this year was testament to the growth, success and commitment of the venue and its staff. Both events experienced unparalleled success, welcoming over 70,000 visitors across the two shows. Plans have already been announced by the organisers to extend the show to four days in 2015. Visitors to the Ideal Home Show, and many other shows at the venue, travelled for more than one hour to attend the events; further confirming EventCity is a destination venue that pulls people from outside of the North West.

Orr commented on the Ideal Home Show “It’s big, it’s theatrical, and it’s all about customer experience and exactly the kind of show we wanted at EventCity. There has been a huge amount of hard work done by the team here in making EventCity a destination that people want to come to”.

Now home to EC4, a hall specifically dedicated to conferences within EventCity, the exhibition centre is set to grow even further in 2015.

EventCity boasts over 28,000 square metres. of flexible exhibition space and offers free parking to both exhibitors and visitors. The venue recently invested several hundred thousand pounds in upgrading its new state of the art heating and lighting system and has plans to continue investing in the building in to the New Year.
