The travelling bear is just one of many fundraising activities being run by Regus to help the Friends of Birtenshaw reach their target:

  • Regus’ Bolton centre is running a ‘Smarties challenge’. Customers can buy a tube of Smarties from for 50p to then fill with 20p’s and return it back to the centre. Each Smarties tube holds around £12 worth of 20p’s.

  • A Charity Ball, to be held at in October, which will mark 60 years since the opening of Birtenshaw School. More details to follow.

Alan Clemence, Chairman of the Friends of Birtenshaw Charity Committee said, “Birtenshaw College opened last year and provides education and training for disabled young adults between the ages of 19 and 25. It is an important addition to our existing school, care homes, short break centre and health and well-being services. Following the opening of the first part of the college in September, we are now looking to raise enough money for phase two of the college’s re-building and renovation programme to start, which will provide much-needed additional facilities and specialist equipment. We are extremely grateful to Regus and all our other partners in helping us work towards this goal.”

A Regus spokesperson said, “I’m delighted that our local network of Regus centres in the North West are helping to raise funds for such an important cause. We extend our thanks to everyone who has got involved in the fundraising so far and encourage others to join in the many activities that are ongoing and planned for the coming months.”
