EmptyLemon Nominated For National Online Recruitment Awards

EmptyLemon, a Timperley based job board website has been nominated for the Online Recruitment Awards in the Best Online Candidate Experience Award category. The winner will be announced at a gala dinner in London on 19th March.

‘We are delighted to be nominated for a national award to recognise the work of our team in creating a unique website which has attracted nationwide advertisers. We set up EmptyLemon, an anagram of Employment in 2010 on Pancake Day and have just celebrated our fifth year in business. The company was founded in a positive response to a significant change in the recruitment market in 2009, when companies where looking to reduce their recruitment agency fees by appointing Internal Recruiters and Talent Managers, which hit the recruitment industry hard. EmptyLemon provides a platform for these Internal Recruiters to promote their employer brand and attract top performing candidates by giving compelling reasons to work for them’.

EmptyLemon.co.uk is a unique job board connecting companies with employees directly and does not contain advertisements from recruitment agencies, which gives companies recruiting directly a much more visible presence compared to other job boards. EmptyLemon’s offering goes beyond just advertising jobs and offers its clients employer branding opportunities, as well targeted campaigns on social media to fill those roles experiencing a candidate shortage. The website features over 7,500 jobs in all sectors with clients including Saint Gobain, Mitchell and Butlers and Sue Ryder, with a database of over 450,000 CVs registered across all sectors.

The nomination comes at a period of growth for EmptyLemon. The company is set to grow their team and are looking for Sales Executives. Investment is being made in parsing software, which will provide the employers with a quick and easy method to sort and track applications, as well as matching software to enable the employers to quickly match their jobs to CVs; and jobseekers to effectively search jobs by matching their CV to relevant openings. The matching software will also give the benefit of sending out CV alerts to current and previous clients. The real challenge that EmptyLemon has recognised is to build on the initial success of the website by building on the strengths and creating a strong brand and differentiation; to grow this area of the business the company has recently appointed a Marketing Manager to drive this initiative through.
