Accreditations get Northallerton business on road to success

A Northallerton car dealership has received another accreditation which is allowing it to offer customers more services and could potentially create jobs in 2015.

Simon Bailes Peugeot, whose headquarters are on Tannery Road in the town, has been appointed as an approved Citroen service and repair centre and parts distributor.

The new venture will be based at the company’s Accident Repair Centre in Finkils Way in Northallerton.

The new accreditations follow a good start to the year for the team at Simon Bailes Peugeot- which has dealerships in Northallerton, Stockton-on-Tees and Guisborough- as it strengthened its status as the UK’s most accredited Peugeot dealership after securing its 24th Guild of Gold Lion award, which recognises the highest standards in sales, service and customer satisfaction.

Simon Bailes said: “It’s important that we constantly respond to customer demand and offer the services that people need. By becoming a fully approved service centre for Citroen, we can cater to the needs of even more people in our local community.

“Our experienced team worked hard to gain the full accreditation. We can now carry out any type of repair or service on Peugeots and Citroens, plus undertake warranty work for both franchises. We’re hoping that this may lead to the creation of several new jobs in the coming year.”

Simon Bailes Peugeot was established in 1979 and employs around 105 people at its three dealerships in Northallerton, Stockton and Guisborough. The company is one of the highest rated Peugeot dealerships in Europe and continues to grow more rapidly than expected, despite difficult trading conditions in the last two years.
