Business Northumberland urges entrepreneurs to use their service

A FREE support service for businesses across Northumberland is encouraging budding entrepreneurs to utilise its facilities before the service ends on 31st March.

Business Northumberland offers established and start-up businesses in the county free support in reaching their full growth potential. It is a free service that provides business advice and support to anyone thinking about starting a business in Northumberland and also offers business coaching to existing businesses with growth ambitions. Business Northumberland is jointly funded by Arch, The Northumberland Development Company, Northumberland County Council and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

On 31st March the service will end so potential entrepreneurs across the county are being urged to get involved as soon as possible to take full advantage of the free support on offer.

Paul Brown, Business Advisor at Business Northumberland, said: “Since launching the service in April 2013, we’ve supported almost 1,900 entrepreneurs, created 80 jobs and attracted over 1,400 attendees to events across the county. Our aim was to help the Northumberland economy grow and we think we achieved this through supporting enterprise, but there is still more work to do to help local entrepreneurs realise their potential.

“Starting a business can be a daunting task and we want to guide as many people as possible through the process before 31st March. We’re actively encouraging anyone considering starting their own business to make good use of our free workshops, one-to-one business advice and mentors before our service comes to an end in a few weeks.”

The initiative is jointly funded by Arch, The Northumberland Development Company, Northumberland County Council and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

In addition to running workshops, Business Northumberland is also able to provide business support and advice through its knowledgeable business support team.
