Onyx named Managed Services Provider of the year

North East-based IT infrastructure & Support specialists Onyx Group have been announced as winners of the “Mid-Size MSP of the Year 2014 UK and Ireland” category at the recent Kaseya User conference in London.

Kaseya, the leading provider of cloud-based IT management software, has designed the awards to recognise enterprise and MSP partners in the UK who have achieved outstanding business results through their innovative use of Kaseya’s technologies. The Kaseya Automation Platform, underpins Onyx Group’s flagship OneTouch service which monitors and manages the networks and desktop estates of its extensive managed services customer base.

The Onyx team were commended for achieving outstanding results across a number of areas, including revenue growth, business value generated for end-users and their progressive use of Kaseya solutions throughout 2014.

Neil Stephenson, CEO of Onyx Group, praised the work done by the team and believed they will play a key role in Onyx Group’s future; “It’s a great honour to win this award and a real testament to the hard work carried out by the team. Our support engineers are renowned for their industry leading skills and expertise and this award is a shining example of that.”

“By implementing the Kaseya software into our existing portfolio, we have been able to transform our service delivery into a truly proactive network monitoring system - allowing us to identify and rectify incidents before any service disruption occurs.”

The team first implemented the software into their Managed Services solution in 2010 and the Group now manage over 4000 desktop and server end points. Developing the product under the name OneTouch, the service acts as a 24x7 Virtual Engineer on customer sites.

The news comes hot on the heels of Onyx Group’s acquisition of Knowledge IT, a £10m move that established the company as one of the UK’s leading providers of IT services. The acquisition has bolstered Onyx Group’s existing infrastructure and will play a key role towards achieving Onyx’s ambitious plans to become a national £100 million revenue IT support and services business in the next five years.
