Former law lecturer, Joanne Jones, (49) loves looking after animals so much that she has set up her own mobile professional pet care business, Petpals Ribble Valley.

Joanne will offer clients pet care services including dog walking, home and day boarding as well as visits to cats and other small animals.

Says Joanne: “I gave up my profession a while ago to be a stay-at-home mum whilst my husband went out to work. Now that our kids have grown up, I felt the time was right for me to re-enter the working world.

Thanks to our Springer Spaniel Dexter, I’ve developed a taste for the outdoors, fresh air and daily exercise. It occurred to me that I couldn’t go back to my 9-5 job, as much as I enjoyed it at the time. I’ve always wanted to work with animals; it’s where my passion lies and running Petpals Ribble Valley will certainly give me enough variety to keep me on my toes!“

Joanne, who lives in Old Langho, has bought the Petpals Ribble Valley territory enabling her to combine running her own business with the support of Petpals head office. She is joining a network of Petpals owners nationwide.

Continued Joanne: “As much as I want to be my own boss, I didn’t want to start from scratch by myself.
