Two companies united by innovation - Renishaw and MSP

Renishaw and metrology software products ltd are thrilled to announce their partnership has been recognised with a prestigious award. The two companies won ’Best Supplier Partnership’ at the MTA Manufacturing Industry Awards 2015.

The MTA Best Supplier Partnership Award celebrates successful relationships where innovation, sustainability, value and efficiency have led to productive collaborations. Renishaw and MSP’s partnership has been essential to advancing inspection within the manufacturing industry and has established a global portfolio of revolutionary products.

The awards were announced at the MTA Annual Dinner. This black-tie event was held on the 12th of March at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham and was hosted by business presenter, Steph McGovern. It is the biggest annual event of its type and every year hundreds of senior people in engineering-based manufacturing attend the event to celebrate the success of the industry.

The partnership between MSP and Renishaw has led to many innovative products for the manufacturing industry. UCCserver is a global product providing access to all Renishaw advanced CMM probing systems and Equator™, Renishaw’s versatile gauging system, is revolutionising manufacturing quality processes. Such product developments would not have been possible without the partnership, as they encompass skills from both companies. MSP with the highly specialist software expertise and Renishaw with its hardware design excellence, innovative application software and global sales distribution.

Kevyn Jonas, Director of Renishaw’s Measurement and Automation Products Division, commented: “To be recognised with this award is a huge achievement. MSP’s software and Renishaw’s hardware, deliver innovation to manufacturers around the globe. Our trusted partnership with MSP continues to thrive and stretch what is possible with measurement systems”.

This award signals the start of a successful year for the partnership. This year it enters the machine tool arena where the use of MSP’s multi-award winning system, NC-PerfectPart, is being explored for use in conjunction with Renishaw’s advanced machine tool probing systems.
