MAN delivers 200th Truck to Go

Haulage firm’s order marks milestone in MAN Truck & Bus UK sales programme.

G Moore Haulage, based in Kempston Hardwick, Bedfordshire, is taking delivery of its seventh MAN TGM18.250 with HYVA skip loader body and HYVA sheeting system, all fitted by Thompsons (UK) Ltd at their Blackburn factory.

The vehicles have been supplied under the MAN Trucks To Go scheme (TTG), which significantly reduces lead times for customers and cuts the need to wait for a factory build slot for their vehicle.

MAN TTG representative Neil Stoddart said: “This order brought us our 200th sale under the scheme for 2014 and clearly highlights the convenience and benefits of the programme, where vehicles are ready to go straight away to meet customer demand.”

MAN Salesman Scott Munton explained: “With MAN Trucks To Go, we offer our customers an extensive stock of ready new vehicles. Most modern transport solutions are available, from the construction, heavy-duty transport, municipal, long-haul and distribution transport sectors.

“In this instance we caught the vehicles mid-build and were able to personalise them to G Moore’s specification.”

Company owner Glen Moore said: “We will have eight MANs in our fleet when this order is completed and we hope this will be the start of a continued relationship with MAN. We have an excellent contacts with the local dealership, John Arnold Commercials, too. The service was second to none.

“The vehicles are lighter than our previous fleet and have given us a greater payload which we appreciate.”

Scott added: “The competitive deal and the three year warranty helped seal the deal with the company and we hope to be able to do business again in the near future.”
