£5 million contracts create jobs across South East

Two new contracts, worth £5 million, have led to the creation of new jobs with expanding property management and maintenance specialist, DW Support Services.

The Oxford based business, with offices in London and Reading, looks after 165,000 homes and five million square feet of office space throughout the south east of England.

The first deal, worth £2.5 million over 15 months, is with London housing association, Family Mosaic. It involves the delivery of responsive repairs to 3,900 homes in the south east of the capital.

The second, worth £500,000 per year, runs until 2019 and includes day to day responsive repairs, void property works, planned repairs and maintenance and out of hours emergency works for 900 Hastoe homes in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. There is an option to extend this deal for two further years.

As a result, 14 new positions are being filled by the business which already provides work for 300 people maintaining buildings owned by housing associations, councils, government agencies, management companies, schools, universities and NHS trusts.

Said owner of the Fastflow Group, which includes DW Support Services, Neil Armstrong: “This marks a fantastic start to 2015 for the business which has ambitious growth plans. We have remained stable during a change in ownership and are now implementing the resulting expansion plans.

“We believe the improving economic climate and our experience and expertise in the sector will help us secure more contracts and increase the workforce further.”

In addition to the latest projects DW Support Services is preparing to commence new schedules of work for existing clients from 1st April – worth around £25 million over the year. A call centre team provides responsive day-to-day support for clients, delivering 27,000 responsive repairs while planned maintenance, refurbishment and energy saving solutions are provided to 10 clients.

Last year the company became a member of the Fastflow Group, a specialist in utility infrastructure, providing services to Northumbrian Water, Scottish Water, Anglian Water and National Grid (gas).

The group provides work for over 600 people and turnover this year is expected to top £60 million.
