York’s White Horse Digital wins contract for launch of Johnston Press’s branded content
York-based content marketing agency White Horse Digital has been awarded a contract to be Johnston Press’s branded content partner for the launch of the multimedia company’s new online business community, the hub.
During the pre-launch stage, White Horse has already worked alongside Johnston Press to develop and create an inclusive content strategy to help the hub reach its goal of sharing local business expertise.
Videos, top tips, extensive advice guides, infographics will all be included on the new site, as well as resources for forward-thinking entrepreneurs and small business leaders at all stages of their business careers.
The new site is branded and tailored according to users’ local Johnston Press newspaper publications and sits alongside its digital marketing service for SMEs, Digital Kitbag.
Ruth Hoskins, director of White, said: “We relished the opportunity to become involved with the launch of Johnston Press’ content marketing strategy for its business-to-business arm.
“We’re delighted to be part of this pioneering branded content initiative. The hub is definitely leading the way in marketing and is concrete proof of Johnston Press’ commitment to move away from simply selling to advertising to businesses and into an entirely new way of doing business, where they help and support local business growth and own the SME space.”
Ashley Highfield, CEO of Johnston Press, added: “Today’s announcement is a major step for Johnston Press in transforming our approach to marketing. Our local news brands sit at the heart of the communities they serve, and today’s launch of the hub enables us to continue to champion local business in a fresh and relevant way.”
Matthew Moore, head of marketing communications for Johnston Press, News Brands, and the hub expert, also commented: “Johnston Press has always celebrated the huge contribution local business makes to communities up and down the country.
“The content being created by White Horse for the hub helps us to extend our conversation with the business community.”
