Yorkshire insurance firm team with York PR agency to support expansion
JM Glendinning Insurance Brokers in Leeds recently appointed York-based PR and communications agency The Partners Group to assist with its plans to rapidly expand.
The firm, which offers insurance, financial and health and safety services from three offices located in Yorkshire and the North East, is aiming to double in size in the next two years by expanding throughout the north and create 20 new jobs.
JM Glendinning is currently a Top 100 insurance broker offering commercial and private insurance, financial and health and safety services from headquarters in Guiseley, as well as offices in Sheffield and Newcastle.
Nick Houghton, the firm’s managing director and who sees PR playing a key role in the company’s growth strategy, said: “Our success is founded on finding the best people, and building the business around them.
“Making sure that people understand our values, ethos and approach is critical to attracting the right staff to the business, and the work that the Partners team is doing to heighten the profile of other professional services organisations in the region stands out. I’m very much looking forward to working with them to support our expansion plans.”
Karen Tinkler, director of Partners and who will head the JM Glendinning account, added: “A lot of local insurance brokers are being acquired by large corporates, but JM Glendinning’s strategy is to retain and communicate the strengths that set the firm apart: their independence, the calibre of their team and strong relationships with major insurers, which enable them to help companies arrange insurance on the best possible terms and give them the service they need should they have to make a claim. Their business approach and values are very similar to our own, and I think we’ll work very effectively together.”
The Partners Group supplies a range of PR and communications services to organisations in the professional services, property and construction, food processing, leisure and tourism industries.
