Wates subcontractors awarded first TPAS Quality Marks

Members of the Wates Living Space supply chain have been awarded Quality Marks by the tenant empowerment organisation, TPAS. This is the first endorsement of its kind in the housing sector.

The TPAS Quality Mark has been presented to five of Wates Living Space’s subcontractors in a pilot scheme acknowledging companies who interact directly with Wates’ customers.

Wolverhampton based Jeavons Roofing, interior designers Blythe Group, decorators Local Run, Telford based electrical and mechanical services Dodd Group and Bristol based Jeff Way Electrical Services will be accredited for two years.

Steve Jackson, Regional Managing Director for Wates Living Space, commented: “The tenants of the properties we work in are at the heart of everything we do. We take great measures to ensure that they receive the best possible service, involvement and commitment from our supply chain partners. We have been working closely with TPAS to create the Quality Mark, which serves to assure tenants and housing associations alike that they meet our strict standards to ensure that we meet our customers’ needs.

“We are pleased that five members of our supply chain are now TPAS accredited and will be encouraging many more to join them. We hope that this will become an industry standard and a badge of assurance and excellence.”
