Ossett Brewery to set Leeds bar scene on fire with the launch of CANDLEBAR

Ossett Brewery is hoping its latest venture, CANDLEBAR, will set Leeds’ bar scene on fire.

The new venue, which will open to the public at 4pm on Friday 24th April 2015, is located on the ground floor of the iconic waterside building, Candle House in Granary Wharf, Leeds.

After investing £300k into CANDLERBAR and creating 15 new jobs, Ossett Brewery’s newest venture will offer 14 craft world beers, over 20 premium wines by the glass through Enomatic preservation machines and serve rustic pizza from an authentic Italian wood-fired oven.

CANDLEBAR also features an extensive waterside seating area outside that includes impressive views spanning straight across the Leeds-Liverpool canal.

As well as serving world craft beers and fine wine served by the glass, CANDELEBAR will also sell premium spirits, a choice of classic cocktails, real cider and Ossett’s own cask beers.

Furthermore, each month will see the wine list feature 12 new wines from a particular wine growing country, including Italy, Australia, New Zealand and Spain

Each month’s wines will be paired with special edition pizzas and salads which will be adorned with traditional toppings from the host country.

With the planned opening of Leeds Station South Exit (LSSE) in Granary Wharf, this area is expected to continue to grow and the addition of CANDLEBAR will only quicken the expansion.

Jamie Lawson, managing director of Ossett Brewery, said: “We of course know both Leeds and Granary Wharf well from our continued success with The Hop, Leeds but this venue is totally different to those we have launched previously and we can’t wait for others to experience it. From couples and colleagues to groups and families, CANDLEBAR will always be the place; you just have to pick the time.”
