Datasat launch ‘Site in a Box’ Internet and Communications Solution
More and more construction companies are developing sites in remote locations, and obtaining sufficient internet communication is an ever growing concern.
Remote construction projects exist in many regions throughout the UK and globally and these areas are often some distance from traditional terrestrial connections. The lack of communications on a site can cause projects to be delayed, create safety concerns amongst the workforce and impact on overall project costs.
UK Company, Datasat Communications, has been providing satellite, wireless and microwave solutions to companies in over 90 countries worldwide since 1987 and has a wealth of experience in deploying communications in remote locations.
Roger Mandeville of Datasat Communications says; “Personnel on site now expect to have the data they need at their fingertips. Productivity and profitability are driven by how effectively the construction company can manage all aspects of the project. A project can’t wait for a communications infrastructure to be created. It has to be in place from the moment the first people arrive on-site.”
Datasat Communications “Site in a Box” solution is a simple cost effective deployment that can enable communications in remote working environments. These installations can include Satellite Internet, Wireless 3G and 4G, site wireless coverage and HD camera surveillance with camera analytics and video storage.
Roger continues; “Our Site in a Box solution allows work to begin from day one. It can be used to connect remote and temporary job sites quickly and prevent remote workers from being isolated from their network while they await a terrestrial connection. Flexibility is also important to our customers and our ‘Site in a Box’ solution can be easily upgraded and moved from site to site”.
