York housebuilder Persimmon reports forward sales of £2bn for 2015
In the first half of 2015, York-based Persimmon plc reported a strong start to its current trading and financial performance, as well as a solid outlook to the current financial year.
In the first fifteen weeks of this year, the house building company has a current total forward sales revenue of £2bn, which includes legal completions taken so far this year.
Total forward sales results has increased by 7% since 2014 (£1.87bn).
Permission also reported that private sales rate per site for the first fifteen weeks of 2015 was 6% ahead of the prior year.
According to the housebuilder, 7,375 new homes were sold into the private sale market for 2015 with an average selling price of c. £207,900, which is 4% higher than last year.
After opening 85 of the 120 new sites planned for the first half of 2015, Permission is currently developing 385 active outlets across the UK.
At this current rate, the Yorkshire company is expected to further increase the number of homes currently being built to drive its current year legal completion volumes ahead of the previous year’s total of 13,509 new homes.
