Entrepreneurial tech investors acquire Dynistics

A group of entrepreneurial tech investors consisting of Mark Zaleski, Mohammed Tayeb, Andy Richardson and John Simpson have acquired UK-based dashboard analytics provider Dynistics, which operates in a sector dominated by US giants Tableau (DATA) and Qlik (QLIK).

Dynistics has developed an award-winning product that has pioneered real-time business intelligence and data visualisation solutions across a range of industries. As part of this acquisition, Dynistics will join forces with the established IBM/SAP solutions provider, Influential Software, in a partnership that will grow both businesses by leveraging Dynistics’ dashboard products and Influential Software’s wider analytics industry experience from sector leaders IBM Cognos and SAP Business Objects.

Investor Mark Zaleski has invested in and held board-level executive positions at internet companies such as Dailymotion and QXL Ricardo plc and has a proven track record of investing in other successful internet start-ups and fast-growth technology companies. Internet entrepreneur Mohammed Tayeb is the founder of numerous technology and ecommerce start-ups, including ReadyCache. CEO of the Influential group, Andy Richardson, is responsible for building one of the biggest business intelligence and analytics consultancies in the UK. CIO and co-owner of the Influential Group, John Simpson has a long track-record of building and enhancing enterprise software solutions by embedding analytics. The four investors will become the Directors of Dynistics following the acquisition.

Dynistics’ new owners have ambitious plans for the company, whose software they believe has the potential to transform the business intelligence and reporting capabilities of a wide variety of businesses beyond the company’s current core markets of recruitment and education. They will invest in Dynistics’ sales and marketing functions, the creation of new sector-specific dashboard offerings and other products, expanding the capabilities with an exciting 2015/16 product roadmap, an international VAR programme and the opening of an additional City of London base for the company.

Andy Richardson, CEO of Influential Software commented: “When we first started looking at Dynistics we quickly saw that this was a company creating dashboard analytics products with tremendous potential. With the new management team in place, we will help Dynistics realise that. We believe that its software has the capability to rival existing heavyweights in the same space and are committed to providing the investment, support and advice it will need to become the next big player in the dashboard analytics market.”
