Teesside’s Charitable MD’s join forces for communications deal

Teesside based Logistics company AV Dawson have joined forces with Agile Group Ltd to expand their communications network.

Simon Scotchbrook (MD Agile Group ltd) and Gary Dawson (MD AV Dawson) met through their joint interest and support of the Teesside Philanthropic Foundation, chaired by Andy Preston. Both MD’s are Patrons of the cause, which supports Teesside businesses.

Simon Scotchbrook says ‘The Teesside Philanthropic foundation was a great platform to help out other businesses and having known Gary for a while now, we were keen to work together. Agile Group Ltd are proud to have contributed to their recent 12.5 m expansion.’

Agile Group Ltd, whose IT and Communications HQ is based at Portrack Lane in Stockton, worked with AV Dawson by connecting up four of their sites with an integrated communications system.

Gary says; “To their credit Agile supplied and completed the main install of our new Panasonic telecoms system within a deadline of 1 week from order placement, this was critical to the start of a new office and warehousing operation.

Agile installed a system that connects four sites via wireless links, and gives a failsafe position should there be a line failure at any of the two main sites. The system integrates with our PC’s and contacts within Microsoft outlook. This is neatly managed by intuitive and illustrative desktop Communications Assistant software giving visibility and status of all users allowing system management and dialling through the PC without even touching the phone unit. Network sockets were freed up by choosing to run the phones via the PCs. We now have tremendous future expansion capability, voicemail options and diverts that where either previously not possible with our old system or very difficult to operate.“

Agile are looking forward to working with and supporting AV Dawson with their new system over the coming years.
