Live music on the menu at popular pub

A village pub near Darlington is hosting a special live music night this weekend featuring the return visit of a popular vocalist and guitarist.

Phil Muriel will be appearing at The Tuns at Sadberge on Sunday April 26th and is returning to the village due to popular demand.

Phil, originally form Paris but now based in the North East, plays a variety of acoustic covers as well as some of his own original music. In addition to singing and playing the guitar, Phil is also an accomplished harmonica player.

The Tuns held a number of live music events last year all of which proved popular with people visiting from all over Teesside so owner, Ross Serino, has now decided to hold regular live music events on the last Sunday of every month.

The Tuns will host a variety of bands and musicians from across the North East offering blues, jazz, soul, pop and more, including: - May 24th- Ian Smith June 20th- P.A Woods July 26th- The Honey Buzzards September 27th- Easy Street Blue

Ross said: “The live music nights were really popular with both the locals- who have been hugely supportive of what we do- and people from around Yarm, Stockton and Darlington. Therefore we’ve decided to make the events more regular- after all the area has so much great talent to share and we’ve got an intimate pub atmosphere which is ideal.”
